Subscription Policy
How recurring hosting and maintenance packages work.
1. Scope
This Subscription Policy covers recurring services from CodeFusion UK, including website hosting, maintenance retainers, support packages and similar ongoing services billed periodically through our portal and/or Stripe.
2. Subscription term and renewal
Subscriptions run on the billing interval stated for the package (typically monthly). Unless cancelled in accordance with this policy, subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods and invoices/charges become due accordingly.
3. What’s included
Included features, response times and fair-use limits are described in the package description, order confirmation or service notes. Work outside the package (new features, redesigns, content writing, major upgrades) is chargeable separately.
4. Fees and billing
- Fees are billed in advance for each period unless otherwise stated.
- Payment may be collected automatically via Stripe or by invoice with a due date.
- Failed payments may be retried. If payment remains unsuccessful we may suspend the service after notice.
5. Price changes
We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days for existing subscribers where practicable). If you do not accept a price change you may cancel before it takes effect.
6. Cancellation
You may request cancellation via the client portal (where available) or by emailing hello@codefusionuk.com. Cancellation usually takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless a longer notice period is stated on your package. We do not normally pro-rate refunds for unused days in a period already paid, except where required by law or agreed in writing.
If you ask us to cancel a subscription mid-period, hosting/access may continue until the period ends unless you request earlier shut-down (data export responsibilities remain yours).
7. Suspension and termination for cause
We may suspend or terminate a subscription immediately or on short notice if:
- fees remain unpaid after reminders;
- you breach the Acceptable Use Policy or Terms;
- the hosted site creates legal, security or operational risk; or
- required by law or a competent authority.
8. Data and handover on cancellation
Before the end date you should export content/databases you need. After cancellation or termination we may delete hosted data after a short retention window. We can provide a handover package (files/database export) as a chargeable service if requested in good time.
9. Service levels
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated where reasonably possible. Third-party outages (data centre, DNS, Stripe, email) are outside our control.
10. Domains and third-party renewals
Domain names and third-party SaaS renewals remain your responsibility unless we expressly manage them under your package. Failure to renew a domain can take a site offline independently of hosting.

These policies apply to our UK trading activities. If anything in a signed quote or order conflicts with a general policy, the signed document takes priority for that engagement.
