2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and session identifiers used to keep you signed in or secure forms.

3. Cookies we use

Essential / strictly necessary

These are required for the site and portal to function and cannot be switched off in our systems:

  • Session cookies — keep you logged in to admin/portal securely.
  • CSRF / security tokens — protect forms against cross-site request forgery.
  • Flash / preference messages — temporary notices after form submission.

Because they are essential, we do not require consent for these under PECR.

Analytics (optional)

If Google Analytics 4 (or similar) is enabled in our settings, analytics cookies/identifiers may be used to understand traffic and improve the site. Where consent is required, analytics should only run after consent; if analytics is active on this site it is configured by us and you can control cookies via your browser.

Payments (Stripe)

When you pay an invoice or checkout, Stripe may set its own cookies. Those are governed by Stripe’s policies.

Session cookies usually expire when you close the browser or after a short idle period. Persistent cookies (if any analytics cookies are used) last according to the provider’s settings.

These policies apply to our UK trading activities. If anything in a signed quote or order conflicts with a general policy, the signed document takes priority for that engagement.
