Acceptable Use Policy
Rules for fair and lawful use of our systems and hosting.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets rules for using CodeFusion UK websites, client portal, hosting, email-related services we manage, and any systems we provide. Breach may result in suspension or termination under our Terms.
2. Who this applies to
Customers, their staff, contractors, and anyone using credentials or hosting associated with an account.
3. Prohibited uses
You must not use our services to:
- Break any applicable law (UK or otherwise relevant), including fraud, IP infringement, harassment, or misuse of personal data.
- Host, distribute or link to malware, phishing, ransomware, or hacking tools intended for unauthorised access.
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or unlawful marketing contrary to PECR/UK GDPR.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other customers’ data, or third-party systems.
- Overload infrastructure (e.g. crypto-mining, intentional traffic floods) beyond fair use.
- Publish content that is defamatory, obscene, extreme, or that exploits children.
- Facilitate modern slavery, human trafficking, or exploitation of any person.
- Misrepresent identity or affiliation in a deceptive way.
4. Content responsibility
You are responsible for content on sites/apps we host for you, including user-generated content if your site allows it. You must have a lawful basis and appropriate notices for any personal data you collect via those sites.
5. Security
You must keep passwords secure, apply available updates we recommend, and notify us promptly of suspected compromise. We may take emergency action (including taking a site offline) to protect the platform or other customers.
6. Fair use for support/hosting
Support packages include reasonable assistance. Excessive or abusive support requests, or hosting usage far outside typical business websites for the package tier, may require an upgrade or additional fees.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches, remove content, suspend services, report to authorities, and refuse reinstatement. Where practicable we will notify the account holder, unless the law or security requires otherwise.
8. Reporting
Report abuse to hello@codefusionuk.com with evidence (URLs, timestamps, headers where relevant).
